BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS

Strategies used to increase positive behavior

Students who have challenges with things like following adult directions, remaining on task, raising their hand to speak, or other behavioral challenges often benefit from social skills instruction to learn strategies to find more success in the classroom. They may also benefit from a behavior chart and a plan with rewards and consequences. Click the link to learn more about the plans used with Roper students who have IEP goals in behavior.

INCLUSION

Because everyone deserves an enriching and engaging learning experience, regardless of their disability.

Whether it be communication needs, physical accommodations, assignment modifications, or practice with daily functional tasks, I am here to work with you, the students, specialists, paras, and teachers to help our student reach their full potential! Their individual needs is what's most important and I look forward to figuring out just what those needs are and how to best serve them. Any advice is much appreciated as you know your child the best! As I learn new info from parents, classes, and personal research, I will try to upload it onto my resources tab. ACADEMIC SUPPORT

When a little boost goes a long way

If a student is behind in reading, writing, or math, it is my hope to work with the family, classroom teacher, and individual to help them reach the same (or even above!) level as their peers. Click the link below to see some good academic resources to use with your child at home!
